🪨🎲 7th Grade Science Spotlight! 🎲🪨 Mr. Kelley’s class has been rocking the rock cycle this past week! Our 7th graders created their own maps showing all the different places rocks and sediments could travel. Then the real adventure began—they rolled dice to discover where the rock cycle would take them next and described the processes that transformed their rock along the way. From sediment to igneous to metamorphic (and back again!), students saw firsthand how one type of rock can become another through natural processes. 🌋💨💦 We love seeing science come to life in such creative and engaging ways! Great job, students! 👏🔬

Congratulations to our e-sports teams on completing there first official league season. After an electric battle we have our schools champions! Congratulations to Duck Dynasty for winning the match and showing who flys highest in the the e-sports flock. ( for now!!!!) We look forward to spring when these teams and many new teams will continue the charge in showing how amazing Horizon is and unlocking there true potential. #GoDUCKS!

HJH Classroom Highlight: Our Spanish classes celebrated Día de Muertos.  They created an altar and students brought in pictures of their ancestors, loved friends and pets that have passed but forever remembered.

We are so grateful for our staff, students, and parents in this time of Thanksgiving. Today we had our November Student of the Month. Our Boys Basketball team wrapped up their quarterfinals game today with heart, hustle, and true Horizon pride. While the result wasn’t what we hoped for, we couldn’t be more proud of the incredible season these athletes put together. A huge thank you to Coaches Bradshaw and McMakin for their leadership, dedication, and the countless hours they’ve invested in our players.#GoDUCKS!

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes 🇺🇸 Today, our students proudly celebrated Veterans Day by placing flags around campus in honor of the brave men and women who have served our country. During lunch, students also took part in a fun and educational Veterans Day Trivia activity — learning more about the history, service, and sacrifices of our nation’s heroes. We are so grateful for all who have served and continue to serve. Thank you for your courage, dedication, and commitment to protecting our freedom.

Our first Spirit Assembly was a huge success filled with energy, pride, and unforgettable moments!
